Hello Crafting World

Welcome to my new crafting blog, "Crafting with Me and My Zs," where I'll share my creative ideas and inspire others to explore their crafting abilities. I'm a seasoned crafter, and this blog results from my passion for crafting and desire to share that passion with others. I'll share my unique approach to crafting and insights into my creative process. The blog's title, "Crafting with My Zs and Me," reflects my love for crafting and the special people, referred to as "Zs," who inspire and support my work. My two Generation Z teenage daughters and me - their Generation X mom.

I'm experienced in various crafting techniques, and that expertise is reflected in the diverse range of projects I'll feature on the blog. From Adult Coloring and Cricut Crafting to Sublimation and Scrapbooking, there's something for everyone.

Adult Coloring

I'll feature various adult coloring pages and techniques for those looking for a relaxing and meditative activity. These projects are a great way to de-stress, unwind, and improve hand-eye coordination. I'll be featuring a variety of adult coloring pages and styles, using colored pencils and alcohol markers. Colored pencils are perfect for blending and layering colors, while alcohol markers offer a quick and easy way to add vibrant hues to your coloring pages. I'll share my favorite coloring techniques, including blending and layering, and provide tips for selecting the best coloring tools for your projects.

Cricut Crafting

I adore Cricut crafting! For those that don't know, Cricut is a cutting machine that allows me to create intricate designs for all my crafting needs. From home decor to party decorations, I'll share step-by-step tutorials for using the Cricut machine to create unique and beautiful projects.

Sublimation

Sublimation is a printing technique that allows me to transfer images onto various surfaces, such as mugs, shirts, and keychains. I'll share creative ideas and methods for sublimation to make personalized gifts and merchandise.

Concluding Thoughts

In conclusion, this blog celebrates the art of crafting and the connections it creates. Through a diverse range of projects, I aim to inspire others to explore their creativity and make something beautiful with their hands. By bringing together different perspectives, generations, and techniques, I'll showcase the power of crafting to bring people together and create memories that will last a lifetime.

In the future, I plan to continue sharing new ideas and projects, offering tips and tricks for crafters of all levels, and fostering a community of like-minded individuals passionate about crafting. So, whether you're an experienced crafter or just starting, join me on this creative journey and discover the joy of crafting for yourself. I'll list some of the products I will use in upcoming tutorials.  First up, my favorite thing - My Cricut!

Cutting Machines and Tools

Cricut Maker 3

The ultimate in the Cricut line-up, but it comes with a cost.

Cricut Explore

The best value for those that want to work with a variety of products but don’t need the extra feature of the Maker (I use both - the Maker is great, but unless you are using heavy materials or engraving, the Explore is a great option).

Cricut Heat Press

Needed if you plan to do sublimation or iron on vinyl - an iron produces inconsistent results.

Cricut Joy

Great for small projects, super easy but limited to what you can create based on size.
